Obelia

– has a medusa, or jelly-fish, as a stage in its life cycle and then turns into a polyp attached to the sea bed.
The medusa body is bell or umbrella shaped, with the convex side upward and mouth in the centre underneath. Tentacles with stinging cells hang down around the edge.
