Plankton Portraits

A Tour of Lancashire Museums   2005-06

Next, Lancashire Museums Service commissioned a touring exhibition.  Most plankton are translucent so I wanted to produce the images in a translucent format.  I spent some time seeking an appropriate method, and, at a print industry show at the NEC Birmingham, I found a printer who could make large format digital prints on translucent fabric, a new technique at the time.  These prints were displayed by suspending across the museum spaces, away from the walls.
